  a. Listen to the song.

  b. 用蜡烛(实物或图片)教candle。并用手拿一支蜡烛,说: one candle, 用手拿两支蜡烛,说: two candles, 教师注意提醒学生两支以上的candle是candles, 并发好“s”这个音。

  c. Gets Ss to know the meaning of dance.

  d. Sing the song to the tape.

  1. Words learning: balloon, kite, ball, plane, boat, doll, car.

  2. Respond to the TPR activities “Bounce the ball. /…. ” quickly and correctly. *Try to use this phrase.

  Preparation:

  1. Tape, recorder and computer

  2. Objects (balloon, kite, ball, doll, and so on)

  Steps:

  (1). Warm-up/Review

  a. Sing a song: Ten Little Candles Dance.

  b. Let’s chant.

  c. Play a game.

  How many fingers?

  (2). Presentation

  a. Show a picture.

  T: Today is Sarah’s birthday. Look! How many balloons?

  Ss: …

  T: What color is this balloon?

  Ss: …

  T: How many…?

  b. T: Oh! Today is Sunny’s birthday. Happy birthday!

  S: Happy birthday!

  T: I have a gift for you. (Lead to balloon)

  What’s this? (Learn to say: balloon)

  What color is it?

  S1: Happy birthday! This is for you.

  Sunny: Thank you!

  Sunny open it and see.

  T: Oh! A car.

  Lead to balloon, car, doll, ball, boat, kite, plane.
